The Montana Meth project came to Capital High on January 13th to launch wave 5 of the campaign against methamphetamine use in Montana. Capital Highs auditorium played host to the top people involved in the Montana Meth campaign, including executive director of the project Bill Slaughter and Secretary of State Linda McCulloch.

On Friday October 3, 2008, Mr. Carlson announced that Mr. Chris Parrett, Capital High School math teacher, was arrested on charges of six counts of felony for sexual conduct with a minor, as well as sexual abuse and furnishing harmful items to a minor.
Starting off the season with two wins, both games a score of 35-13, the Bruin football team has not lost their drive for an undefeated season. Beating both Bozeman and Skyview, head coach Pat Murphy says there is still room for improvement.
The Capital High golf teams have already completed nearly half of their season, and time seems to be on their side since they keep improving as the season progresses.
The cross country team started off with a rough couple of weeks, between multiple injuries among runners, and the loss of teammate Angela Dwyer. Coach Val Smith, her first year coaching here at Capital, says the teams are working through and improving together.
The volleyball girls started off their season with a win against Flathead, but their second conference game against Helena High did not go as well. Losing the first three matches to the Bengals, Coach Urban stated, “Helena High has a good team this year. They were playing very well, and very aggressive. Our team was hitting well, but not smart.”
There is little more than a month left in the 2008 soccer season for the Bruin boys and girls teams. With just five games left for each, the Bruins are struggling to stay in the running for the state title.
