Doors Replaced With Safety Portals

Some may have noticed the very out of place unblemished white walls of the recently upgraded inner doorways over by the library entrance. This doorway was tacken down and rebuilt during the Christmas holiday and now runs a lot more in tune with the alarm system of the school. The doorways appearance has changed with both the windows and the middle bars being tacken out. These changes were for practicality’s sake, Mr. Chancy commented that the third doors were “hardly ever used” and the windows just “didn’t make sense logistically”.

Besides the appearance shift the inner wiring of the doors has been changed as well. They are now set to stay open permanently except of course in the event of a fire. They are now wired directly to the alarm system of the school so that if there is a threat they will close automatically. Now students can flow through the doors unhindered but the safety and practical benefits that they have are still provided.

According to Mr. Carlson the main doors of the school will also be changed in the near future. The hope of the construction crew was to be able to get both done over the break, yet it turned out that there were too many other improvements to be made.
