While soccer did not originate in America, it’s still a lot of hard work, ask the guys who come off the field after 80 minutes, of nearly non-stop running, dripping with sweat. Glenn Wall, head coach of Bruin boy’s soccer, has many goals and expectations for the team. His “work hard play hard” method has gone straight to the guys heads with three wins, three loses and one tie.The team has many leaders and shining stars, Derik Chaney who’s winning goal against the Bengal soccer team was spectacular, and seniors Nate Rasor and

Dallin Harris. These three boys are outstanding players who have not only pushed the team, but encouraged even the JV team to go beyond the impossible, as they continue to build the team and their skills. Their goals have changed since the beginning of the year, they now are looking to be in first in their conference, support the team all the way through and to play with heart. These goals have helped the boys develop respect for the team and respect for their teammates. At the beginning of the season, Coach Wall explained the traditions of the team to the boys, to help further their respect of the Capital soccer culture. Every game the team leaders give a pep-talk to drive the rest of the boys mad for a win. And at the conclusion of each game the team runs across the field to honor all those who support the team. When asked if the coach wanted to say anything further, Coach Wall stated, “it would be nice if we could get more  students to come and watch the soccer games, it would mean alot to these guys and their parents if every one were to do that.” If you are curious about any Bruin soccer stats, standings, or games times Glenn Wall has set up a home page to inform interested individuals, www.wallsoccer.net. So let’s go support the Bruin soccer teams at Capital they deserve our support. The next game is on Saturday Oct. 3rd. Check it!
