During lunch today there was a bruin spirit showdown with many students pulling out all the school pride and colors they could find
The auditorium was packed today as many students got to forgo their second and third period classes for a rare opportunity to see live theater. Students watched as Romeo and Juliet the usually 23 to 35 actor show was preformed by a cast of only 7

Both Mr. Neiffer and Mr. Chancy of Capital High School have received grant checks this month. Mr. Chancy received his grant check from the ING Unsung Heroes Grant, and this helps fund millions of K-12 educators for innovative classroom projects. To earn this money, many classes are involved in a partnership with the Lewis and Clark County Historical Preservation Commission and are restoring Trolley Number Three. All of these classes are included in the grant.
The Swine!!! It’s the major topic of conversation this season, but really is it that big of a deal? There are 36,000 deaths a year due to the regular flu compared to the number of swine flu deaths which is around 3,000 so far. That is quite a marginal difference, and the CDC doesn’t expect there to be a major leap in that number by the end of the year, though they do expect it to go up by the same average it has been escalating at, still leaving it much lower than the flu number.
Brian McKnight’s newest installment in his legacy of slow and smooth R and B is Evolution of a Man. Evolution of a Man is the perfect epitome of Brian McKnight with the half-beat drums and the unruffled style that is his own. Plus McKnight’s delicious voice just makes me want to get up and or “boogie”. The record starts out with songs establishing a mood with the “Brian McKnight Show” and then the songs gradually lead into the others.
Say what you want about him. Believe what you want to believe about him. But the man was a genius. Michael Jackson’s This Is It takes you into the musical mastermind of the King of Pop. Watching the scenes from the rehearsals for his European Tour: This Is It scheduled for Summer ‘09 in this concert film was the most thrilling feeling. The set, the special effects, the pyrotechnics, the choreography, the music. Everything was out of this world.
