A lot of people around the Helena area are worried about saving money and it is hard to find things that are right for your budget. As a result, people are either not getting quality food or they pay too much for it. No one should have to sacrifice a good meal or pay too much for a meal in their day just because of their budget! In Helena, getting a cheap and quick meal is difficult to spot but, with these five great meal deal ideas, you will be eating cheap.
Lately the grapevine has been a twitter with talk of locker room theft and discussion of why people are stealing things from the locker rooms. Jeana Ratcliff, a freshman at Capital High, found out that her iPod was stolen a few weeks ago. “I had it in my backpack and then I came back and it was gone,” Jeana says. “I just really miss it. It was really expensive and I loved it like a child.” Many others have had things stolen from them as well.
This season, the Capital High Volleyball team improved from the the team they were last year. During practices, these girls worked hard and tried to get better every day. Caity Pilgeram, a senior on the volleyball team, is sad to be leaving the girls she got so close to this year. “Well, I think the season overall went pretty well.” Caity says.
Both Mr. Neiffer and Mr. Chancy of Capital High School have received grant checks this month. Mr. Chancy received his grant check from the ING Unsung Heroes Grant, and this helps fund millions of K-12 educators for innovative classroom projects. To earn this money, many classes are involved in a partnership with the Lewis and Clark County Historical Preservation Commission and are restoring Trolley Number Three. All of these classes are included in the grant.
Bob Goodwin, new math teacher at Capital High School, was born the sixth of September, 1985 in Lewistown, Montana. Goodwin then attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This year at CHS Goodwin is teaching two math classes, Technical Math and Math III.
