Auto-tune has been one of the greatest inventions for those who can’t sing. Auto-tune automatically shifts the projected note to the closest note in the programmed scale thus allowing Lil’ Wayne to make “Lollipop.” Auto-tune was also a key factor in the plummet of the stock market resulting in a high unemployment rate just so that Lady GaGa could make an album, even though I really enjoy The Fame.
Dear Darth Vader:
I would like to inquire about your current state of trying to kidnap Princess Leia and trying to convert Luke Skywalker over to the “dark” side and I was wondering why all of your goals are so destructive.
Splat! You cringe as the pendulum rips through the man’s soft flesh and his intestines are sent flying only to ricochet off the dungeon walls. You hide beneath your blanket as the television screen becomes a scarlet hue from the blood dripping down and you hear the man’s shriek but you are still afraid to sneak a peak because the mere sight could send you into a whirling vortex of nausea.
Rakim’s latest album “The Seventh Seal” is his third solo release. And it has been ten years since his last and “The Seventh Seal” did deliver and it also came with a little bit of philosophy. It is face melting and Rakim is simply a rap legend and his tightly crafted rhyme schemes and his delightful word play made it pretty awesome to listen to but his songs sometimes did fall short.
Robin Thicke’s latest album “Sex Therapy” is quite incredible. I, personally, have never listened to Robin Thicke and I was expecting just some half-bit R&B album that had a super low production budget but I got something more than just another R&B album.
Tech N9ne’s newest installment in the saga is K.O.D. I was expecting more of an Ima player feelm but that’s definitely not what I got. K.O.D. is a really creepy, weird journey with the king of darkness. Which just sounds weird. The album is divided into three parts: anger, madness, and the hole. This album is not very happy.
50 cent’s newest album Before I Self Destruct definitely did not hit the store shelves with a bang. This self destructing device was unquestionably a dud. It was quite unfortunate because I loved Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and Fifty was trying to get back to the crowd that loved that album with Before I Self Destruct and he hit the mark kind of low. All the songs were about money, guns, and booty. They were good but the half dollar was singing his same old tunes and there was nothing that captured and shook me into submission.
Brian McKnight’s newest installment in his legacy of slow and smooth R and B is Evolution of a Man. Evolution of a Man is the perfect epitome of Brian McKnight with the half-beat drums and the unruffled style that is his own. Plus McKnight’s delicious voice just makes me want to get up and or “boogie”. The record starts out with songs establishing a mood with the “Brian McKnight Show” and then the songs gradually lead into the others.
Where the Wild Things Are is an epic tale with an awesome plot, compared to the eleven or ten sentence children’s book. I believe the plot was very well developed although some parts seemed kind of iffy. The movie starts out with this boy named Max who is a really crazy kid, and one day he loses his temper and throws a tantrum. He then proceeds to run away from his place of dwelling, and he hops on a boat and begins his grand exploration.
Respect club is the conglomeration of our nation’s finest, brightest young minds of ingenuity. “Respect equals awesome” is the calling our clan cries into the night sky every full moon. The club of Respect is one of the premium clubs of this school and the best for that matter. Though Respect club is awesome and totally radical, Respect can be a very hard attribute to describe. What is Respect? Why is there Respect? And why do we all need Respect?
